Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at UCLA Health, you will be at the forefront of disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to assay development, improve test workflows, and educate CGMBS trainees. You will collaborate closely with genetic counselors, variant scientists, and bioinformaticians involved in in-house molecular testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new laboratory assays and tests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test workflows and efficiency
  • Provide educational training to CGMBS trainees
  • Work closely with genetic counselors, variant scientists, and bioinformaticians to analyze and interpret molecular test results

Requirements

  • Current, California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license or Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation
