Job Summary:

As an Assistant Department Leader at The Kroger Company, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of department operations, including monitoring supply expenses, managing cash control, and scheduling Front-end associates. You will also assist with preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and creating and executing budgets and scheduling of labor. Additionally, you will assist in the development and implementation of department action plans to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department
Assist with managing cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store
Manage the scheduling of Front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage
Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews
Assist with creating and executing budgets and scheduling of labor
Assist in the development and implementation of department action plans

Requirements:

Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with store management and associates
