Job Overview

The Employment Specialist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for providing administrative support to the recruitment and hiring process. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews
  • Conduct pre-screening of qualified applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Administer pre-employment tests, including drug testing as required
  • Provide general administrative support, including preparing correspondence, forms, and reports
  • Process confidential reports and documents, and maintain accurate records
  • Manage sensitive and confidential matters related to employee information and data
  • Track, sort, and file hourly timesheets for all properties
  • Handle issues and inquiries in the absence of the HR Director
  • Ensure effective reception and approval of forms, and enter changes in the system
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required, or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date
  • Bachelor's degree with two years of work experience in Human Resources, or Associates degree with four years of work experience in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of the recruitment process and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work varied hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays, and willingness to travel and participate in training
  • Tribal Gaming License required, or ability to obtain and maintain a license
