Job Title: Quality Control Inspection Technician

Beta Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspection Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspection Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality control inspections and testing to ensure conformity with type design engineering data.
  • Document results, identify defects, and report instances of poor quality items.
  • Safely discard or destroy items that don't meet specifications to prevent unsatisfactory inventory from reaching production.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure that all products meet established requirements for reliability and workmanship.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience performing dimensional inspections using standard precision measurement tools.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and/or web-based software.
  • Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5.
  • Two or four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software including Catia or Onshape.
  • Two or more years of experience in Quality Control in Aerospace.
  • Certification from American Society for Quality (ASQ).
  • Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The ability to work in a manufacturing environment using OSHA-required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ability to stand for extended periods and lift a minimum of 50lbs. To meet OSHA's physical requirement for distant visual acuity, you must have at least 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without corrective lenses.
