Transportation Compliance & Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Compliance & Safety Specialist to join our team at Comprehensive Logistics Co., LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to transportation safety and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform DOT/new driver qualification checks and maintain driver qualification & employment files
  • Manage document expiry (CDL, Med cards, etc.) and perform annual reviews (AVR, Clearinghouse)
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT Clearinghouse and Hours of Service record compliance & training
  • Review driver leasing companies' shadow files and compliance
  • Support with incident & accident record keeping and reporting, investigations, and FMCSA and DOT Safety Standards knowledge and Compliance
  • Support with driver training & orientation, MCS 90 & MCS 150 and other compliance and filing, Hazmat compliance, ELD support, and Equipment maintenance record keeping
  • Support IFTA reporting and general reporting and KPI creation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Understanding of DOT HOS, CSA Initiatives, and DOT Safety/Compliance Regulations
  • Experience with FMCSA preferred
  • Experience with JJ Keller software preferred
  • 1-3 years experience preferred
  • Organized and detail-oriented with good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information/files and work unsupervised
  • Ability to multi-task, be resourceful, and problem-solve
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Co-Operation and Teamwork, Positive Attitude
