Job Summary

The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) at the Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly motivated and focused Research Intern to contribute to the development of the CCI xG Testbed. As a key member of the research team, you will work closely with experts in the field of advanced wireless communication networks and autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of proof-of-concept projects in traditional computer network stack, wireless network infrastructure, and Software Defined Radio for cellular communication networks.
  • Administer laboratory inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Configure and deploy software and hardware components.
  • Develop and maintain new functionalities on the CCI xG Testbed webpage.

Requirements

  • Experience with computer networking and wireless communication.
  • Experience with software development (C, C++, Java, Python, MatLab, etc.).
  • Currently an undergraduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with signal propagation, 5G technologies, Internet of Things, radio communication, machine learning, and computer network understanding.
