We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Patient Care Technician II to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care services, including bathing, oral hygiene procedures, hair care, and vital sign collection.
- Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures, including setting up and priming IV tubing and performing simple tracheostomy suctioning and care.
- Transport patients with assistive devices, such as crutches, and assist with transfer/transport procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality care and meet regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote quality and cost outcomes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required; CPR certification also required.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program with placement on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or verification of an equal or higher educational level in a clinically focused program.
