Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Expert is essential in ensuring the operational efficiency of property management. This role encompasses various aspects of building upkeep, guaranteeing that service requests and repairs are executed accurately and promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the physical integrity and aesthetic appeal of the property.
  • Complete all work orders within a 24-48 hour timeframe.
  • Oversee apartment turnovers, including painting, repairs, and cleaning of vacant units, within the first two weeks of the month.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation every five weeks, responding to emergency maintenance needs after hours.
  • Engage professionally and courteously with residents and staff, ensuring confidentiality of resident information.
Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or equivalent vocational/technical education is required. Previous experience in a residential maintenance role is preferred.

Compensation:

Hourly wage ranges from $26 to $29.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in the safe operation of hand and small power tools.
  • Exhibit organized and meticulous work habits.
  • Possess a solid understanding of plumbing, electrical, and heating systems, along with general carpentry skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-sufficient.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and completing tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and have personal transportation.
  • Own necessary hand tools for the job.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform various manual tasks.
  • Regularly engage in activities requiring mobility, including walking, standing, and bending.
