Job Summary

CYNWAVE Solutions is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • EHS Program Development and Implementation: Develop and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, OSHA, EPA, and other relevant standards.
  • Safety Management and Risk Assessment: Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, including hazardous waste management, spill prevention, stormwater management, and air quality control.
  • Health and Wellness Programs: Develop and implement health and wellness programs to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and conduct EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure awareness and understanding of safety policies and emergency procedures.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and lead emergency response efforts in the event of an incident.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all EHS activities and provide regular EHS performance reports to senior leadership and customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within military, defense, or logistics environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Previous experience with the DoD contract or similar logistics and maintenance programs is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent certification.
  • HAZWOPER, OSHA 30-Hour, or similar safety certifications.
