Job Summary

Potters Industries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all processes operate in a safe and compliant manner, performing electrical and IT-related tasks to maintain optimal operations, and contributing to our plant's overall safety and productivity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all processes in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) rules and regulations.
  • Perform electrical repair of all equipment associated with operations, including electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Support IT with computer and network installations, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Replace fuses, breakers, and other electrical safety devices.
  • Run conduit and wire to devices consistent with NEC code.
  • Change motor starters and work on MCC components.
  • Assist with and/or perform minor instrumentation functions.
  • Operate in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Perform regulatory inspections and maintenance of equipment and documents as assigned per regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in plant-wide HSE, quality, and productivity initiatives.
  • Voluntarily participate on the Safety Team on a rotating basis.
  • Participate in HSE improvement activities, including Toolbox meetings, Behavioral Based Safety (BBS), hazard ID's, near misses, safety work orders, job safety analysis (JSA), Is It Safe Tour, and computer-based safety training.
  • Communicate, promote, and personally demonstrate Safety/Health as the #1 priority.
  • Complete HSE training requirements for the job timely.
  • Demonstrate commitment to HSE Essentials in everyday activities.
  • Follow plant safety rules and wear required PPE.
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, or incidents immediately or as soon as it's safe to do so.
  • Come to work Fit for Duty and be focused on working safely.
  • Understand and support Potters Industries' Behavioral and Operational Principles.
  • Practice good housekeeping and assist with other housekeeping tasks as directed.
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of Electromechanical Experience in a Manufacturing Environment (or applicable Electromechanical Technical Degree).
  • 3 to 5 years of forklift operations and/or certification preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience in plant safety systems, including Confined Space entry, Hot Work permitting, and Lockout/Tagout of industrial equipment.
  • Basic skills in areas of industrial electromechanical equipment troubleshooting and repairs, running conduit, terminating wires, reading drawings, pipe fitting, minor metal fabrication (including welding), and proper use of mechanical tools.
  • Ability to use computer - basic computer skills.
  • Works well with others - Good Team Work skills.
  • Strong Work Ethics.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Detail and Organizational Skills.
Training, Certification, and Registrations
  • Forklift certification (preferred).
