Image Service Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Image Service Representative to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and researchers at client facilities to coordinate electronic file transfer of medical images.
- Receive, prioritize, and respond to requests for patient image records, accessing hospital and departmental information systems as needed.
- Retrieve and deliver films/digital images to designated locations, preparing and digitally converting images for viewing by staff physicians or customers.
- Train others on the use of digitizer and PACS cube functionality, and troubleshoot connection issues with participating imaging providers.
- Support ongoing and new research studies, partnering with representatives at other medical centers and clinical research organizations to establish accounts and develop file transfer protocols.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and judgment to interpret data and take appropriate action.
- Ability to understand and respond to written or verbal instructions, and contact with patients and/or visitors which involves courtesy.
- Ability to understand basic human anatomy.
