We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist II to join our team at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with complex speech and language disorders, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing clinical guidance to other therapists.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients with complex speech and language disorders, interpreting clinical data and making clinical judgments to determine therapy diagnosis and prognosis.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, adapting to continuous assessment, progress made, and patient goals.
- Provide clinical guidance to other therapists, including training and supervision of Clinical Fellows, Therapy Technicians, students, and volunteers.
- Conduct patient/family/caregiver education and training, and manage assigned caseload of patients, including scheduling and prioritizing patient care.
- Make recommendations, including home programs and referrals to others as needed, and maintain communication with supervisor regarding current caseload.
- Serve as a consultant in an area of clinical specialty to staff therapists, and may act as a clinical liaison in specialty clinics.
- A valid license, or temporary license, to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board of California.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- At least two (2) years of professional experience as a Speech Pathologist and two or more specialty areas relevant to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $136,911.84 - $165,659.52 annually. The successful candidate will be working in the San Jose Metropolitan Area, CA.
