Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Server Associate to join our team at the Owensboro Convention Center. As a Server Associate, you will provide exceptional hospitality to our guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu and special items being offered.
  • Provide quick, attentive, and friendly service to banquet guests, communicating clearly with all customers.
  • Ensure food items are served at the proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer.
  • Ensure neat presentation of all ordered items, with no spill-over.
  • Pre-bus tables and full buses tables when necessary during peak periods.
  • Maintain availability to work during many peak periods.
  • Stock beverage stations when necessary (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc).
  • Maintain high responsiveness to customer desires and requests.
  • Maintain a professional and clean appearance.
  • Communicate with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to improve communication and coordination, ensuring a positive dining experience for patrons.
  • Build and maintain knowledge regarding bar offerings to accurately answer patron questions.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred.
  • Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related Food Service Job Experience.
  • Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner, generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
