Job Title: Bar Manager

The Bar Manager is a key member of our team, responsible for the overall operation of the bar. This includes managing bar staff, scheduling, labor costs, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and develop bar staff to ensure they are knowledgeable of all recipes, portions, presentations, garnishes, mixing procedures, and proper ingredients.
  • Supervise bar staff daily, ensuring they are meeting company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage bar inventory, including purchasing, storing, and sanitation practices.
  • Control costs, including liquor, wine, beer, and bar mixers, while maintaining and increasing drink quality.
  • Ensure all bars are kept clean, sanitized, and disinfected, and that all staff follow proper food and drink handling procedures.
  • Host weekly meetings with the General Manager to discuss bar operations and address any issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience in bar management, including purchasing, inventory control, and cost control.
  • Knowledge of restaurant safety and sanitation practices.
  • Serv-Safe certification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to problem-solve.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of bar management experience.
Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

Some travel may be expected for this position.
