Job Overview

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a highly skilled Technical Director to lead the deployment and maintenance of all information technology systems related to TexNet. This is a key role that requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with experience in leading teams of software developers and system engineers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of coordinating with stakeholders, including the TexNet manager and PI, to deliver new software developments and hardware upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment and maintenance of all information technology systems related to TexNet
  • Manage a team of software developers and system engineers
  • Coordinate with the TexNet manager and PI on new software developments and hardware upgrades
  • Present results and reports to stakeholder groups and USGS/ANSS meetings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT system deployment and management
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical expertise in IT systems deployment and management
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
