KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.

• Operate various types of heavy machinery, including but not limited to 50/70 Barrel Vacuum and Single Roll-Off Trucks.

• Ensure timely and safe deliveries.

• Prepare Haz-Mat and Non-Haz manifests.

• Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA regulations, daily ELD logs, timesheets, and vehicle inspection reports.

• Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of response vehicles and assigned trucks.

• Perform housekeeping and custodial duties as necessary.

• Respond to 24/7 Emergency Response calls while on standby.

• Be prepared to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.

• Accept other reasonable directives and responsibilities as assigned.

• Participate in the Random Drug Testing Program.


QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent is highly preferred.

• Valid California Class B Commercial Driver License is required; Class A is preferred.

• Driving record must meet company standards with a current DMV printout.

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required.

• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required.

• 2 to 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation is required.

• 1 to 5 years of experience in hazardous waste management and environmental services is preferred.


PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Successful completion of a physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening.

• Background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on distraction-free driving.

• Comprehensive understanding of logistics systems.

• Safety-oriented mindset.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to pull/push 50 lbs. unassisted frequently.

• Frequent twisting and turning in full range of motion in arms, hands, torso, neck, back, and legs.

• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. unassisted frequently.

• Regular typing/data entry tasks.


EQUIPMENT USED

• Industrial cleaning and heavy equipment.

• Exposure to various environmental temperatures and weather conditions.

• Salary range: $26 - $33 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, competencies, and skills.
