Key Responsibilities- Instructional Leadership
- Develop and implement research-based instructional plans to address the needs of students with disabilities.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with general education teachers, special education coordinators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure student success.
- Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in special education.
- Contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives and programs to support student learning.
- Education and Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- NYS Special Education Teaching License or currently enrolled in a certification program.
- Experience and Skills
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language Proficiency
