Job Title: Respiratory Care Specialist

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team. As a Respiratory Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing patient care and education on the use and maintenance of respiratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and education on the use and maintenance of respiratory equipment, including CPAP, BiPAP, Oxygen, Nebulizers, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Respond to patient needs in a timely and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service at each interaction.
  • Perform patient setups in patient's home, office, or clinic, as allowed by state regulations.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on troubleshooting and proper care of respiratory equipment.
  • Process new referrals for oxygen patients and follow up on orders when patients meet qualifications through oximetry testing.
  • Successfully troubleshoot concentrator and other equipment problems over the phone.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement in daily work activities, and work with the team to implement changes.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of work-related experience in healthcare administration, finance, or insurance customer service, claims, billing, call center, or management.
  • Exact job experience is considered any of the above tasks in a Medicare-certified HME environment that routinely bills insurance.

  • Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
