We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist Float to join our team at MultiCare Health System. As a Respiratory Therapist Float, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including the Emergency Department and other critical care areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Registered Nurses and Licensed Independent Practitioners in providing patient care and treatments as directed.
- Perform direct patient care activities independently, following MHS policies and procedures.
- Room patients in the ED, taking vital signs and documenting patient information.
- Perform EKGs, IV starts, and lab draws as requested by providers and RN staff.
- Provide patient and family education as needed.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy Training program.
- Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington.
- Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire.
- Health Care Provider level CPR certification.
- Minimum one year of acute care experience in respiratory therapy and critical care.
