Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardio Diagnostic Technician II to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine to complex electrocardiograms (12 lead EKGs), Holter monitor applications, and exercise/treadmill stress tests for both inpatient and outpatient exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (12 lead EKGs) and Holter monitor exams with precision and accuracy.
  • Process and transmit EKG, Holter monitor, and stress test data to designated software applications.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure exams are available for physician interpretation and completion.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians and other healthcare team members during diagnostic exams.
  • Identify changes or abnormalities in EKG morphology and take corrective action or communicate immediately to proper personnel.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • One year experience as a technician performing a variety of electrocardiograms (12 lead EKGs), Holter monitor applications, and/or stress tests.
  • Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCI) or equivalent certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
