About the Role

Landgate is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ESG professional to join our team as a Principal Consultant Environment, Social and Governance. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Landgate and contributing to the sustainable economic, social, and environmental management and development of land in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ESG frameworks, policies, procedures, and a roadmap for establishing a robust ESG function.
  • Monitor the external environment to identify emerging trends, best practices, and regulations, including consideration for WA government ESG commitments and international agreements.
  • Effectively manage dialogue with key senior internal and external stakeholders to provide visibility of progress, updates, and advice, including regular engagement with Landgate's Board and executive team.
  • Work closely with Landgate's operational teams and key roles to support, implement, and communicate environmental and sustainability initiatives, including liaison with key stakeholders through the ESG working group.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders from across the State and Local government sectors to explore and progress opportunities to better leverage land information to support the achievement of ESG outcomes for Western Australia.
  • Oversee the design and preparation of appropriate reporting mechanisms, as well as data collection, analysis, and reporting programs to track progress against Landgate's ESG targets.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in an ESG-related field, with knowledge of ESG regulations, principles, frameworks, standards, and trends.
  • Expertise in strategy development and business planning to facilitate developing Landgate's ESG strategy and associated action plan.
  • Experience managing projects to facilitate the successful implementation of initiatives and actions within established timelines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and leverage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
