Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Dollar General. As a key member of our distribution center operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, stocking, and shipment of merchandise, as well as supervising employees who operate rolling stock equipment and/or automated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Review WMS reports to ensure accurate inventory levels and notify WMS personnel of any shutdowns or failures.
  • Problem Resolution: Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems, and communicate issues to the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Review reports to determine daily department staffing levels and review staffing plans with the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
  • Employee Development: Partner with the Training Department to monitor new employee development tracking and conduct weekly and monthly staffing reviews.
  • Quality Control: Review quality measurements and report status to the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
  • Employee Relations: Maintain employee records, support safety programs, and conduct annual employee reviews and merit increase evaluations.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Interview and select candidates for employment in partnership with the Human Resources department.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of inventory accounting, knowledge of specific inbound or outbound functions within the distribution center, strong attention to detail, and demonstrated skills necessary to assist employees in conflict resolution and one-to-one communication.
  • Work Experience and Education: Automated distribution center experience preferred, two or more years of supervisory experience, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to physically move throughout the distribution center to monitor the flow of merchandise.
  • Environmental Conditions: Exposure to changing climatic conditions, dust, lighting, and noise.
Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $57,840 - $86,760.
