Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of financially complex clients within the mass affluent market segment.
    • Utilize objective and sound personal financial planning and financial advisory concepts to develop and deepen relationships.
  • Financial Planning and Advisory
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client.
    • Provide ongoing financial planning and advisory services to clients, including investment and asset allocation advice.
  • Product and Service Delivery
    • Sell, deliver, and provide ongoing service for a broad range of retail banking products and services, including banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance services.
    • Work with clients to deliver banking, investments, risk management, and retail lending solutions.
  • Business Development
    • Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by acquiring new clients, expanding services, and marketing new products to existing clients.
    • Participate in the sales management process, including the delivery of excellent client service behaviors and support of the Truist segmentation models.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with various Truist teammate product and service specialists (Integrated Relationship Management [IRM] partners) who support client service and development efforts.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of financial solutions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience and related training.
    • Minimum of six years of financial services experience with a demonstrated ability to meet minimum performance standards working with clients to deliver banking, investments, risk management, and retail lending solutions.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Advanced knowledge of a broad range of personal financial planning/advisory/insurance and investment management/asset allocation concepts.
    • Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship management skills.
    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Licenses and Certifications
    • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 7, and 65 in lieu of 66) and applicable Insurance licenses (Life, Health, and Variable) must be active and maintained, or must be obtained within days of job entry date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Masters degree in business, accounting, finance, or banking.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Previous experience using financial planning software.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver advisor-led financial planning that addresses the following key areas: banking, planning, risk, investments, and estate.
