Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Adult Basic Education program staff to maintain and enhance the program's services throughout Yavapai County.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with the team, students, the general public, and grant agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education or a related field.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain AZ Adult Education Teacher Certification.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook Express) with strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to learn proprietary Adult Ed database NRSPro (National Reporting System Pro).
  • Previous adult teaching experience is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and occasional weekend hours.
  • Ability to attend required professional development (some out-of-town travel).
  • Skilled in accuracy and attention to detail for records purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Adult Education, TESOL, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of the AZDE (Arizona Department of Education) AES (Adult Education Services) assessment requirements, data collection, and state standards for teaching.
  • Experience administering TABE and TABE CLAS E assessments.
  • Professional experience in a community college/higher education work environment.
