- Design and develop production lines for your products, including robotic end effector design, process development, control systems, and automation programming.
- Optimize production systems to achieve high throughput, yield, and reliability.
- Create an efficient product lifecycle that balances cost, complexity, and quality, collaborating closely with partner teams to establish effective in-house production lines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Proficiency with CAD and FEA software packages.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- 2+ years of hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems, ideally in a leadership role.
- Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred).
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T, mechanical engineering principles, structural analysis, and failure modes of intricate mechanical systems.
- Previous ownership of a complex component or assembly from initial design through high-volume production.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- Exposure to various production machinery, industrial sensors, and equipment (motion systems, dispensing systems, temperature controllers, etc.).

- Self-motivated with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to meet critical milestones.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Mechanical Engineer/Senior: $125,000 - $175,000 annually. Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one component of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
