About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Fellow in Fiscal Policy and Macroeconomics at the Brookings Institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced research and analysis in areas related to fiscal policy and macroeconomics, independently and in collaboration with Brookings scholars and staff.
  • Develop and publish research findings through various outlets, including Brookings publications and peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participate in public and private events, policy dialogue with policymakers, and contribute to the intellectual life of the Brookings Institution.
  • Supervise and develop pre-doctoral research staff, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Economics or a related social science field, with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong record of productivity and potential for policy impact.
  • Proven competence in research assignments and supervision of junior staff.
  • Knowledge of STATA, R, or other widely used computer software programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
