Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at MaineHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary medical care to patients in an ambulatory setting, conducting face-to-face psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and health care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary medical care to patients in an ambulatory setting, including face-to-face psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and health care services.
  • Co-manage patient case loads with physicians, developing and recording treatment plans for effective and timely care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices in psychiatric care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing with advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
  • Current and valid license as a Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
  • 2+ years of patient care experience in a community mental health center or hospital.
  • Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating patients.
