Math and Language Arts Educator Opportunity

We are seeking an Elementary Math and Language Arts Instructor to join our team at AoPS Academy.
About the Role:
- Cultivate Engaging Curriculum: Lead small classes in Math and Language Arts using company-created materials designed for advanced students.
- Support Student Growth: Actively involve students in each class or student-led learning.
- Expert Classroom Management: Effectively manage up to 16 students.
- Provide Feedback: Grade tests and writing assignments, offering constructive feedback.
- Foster Relationships: Build connections with students and families to make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
- Promote Learning: Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in both Math and Language Arts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Strong content knowledge in math, reading, writing, and grammar is essential.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students is necessary.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-5 level is preferred.
- A formal teaching credential is not required.
Schedule:
- AoPS Academy operates as an afterschool program, with classes in the evenings and on weekends.
- Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
- This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
- Each course meets once per week for 1 hour 45 minutes.
Location:
- This is an in-person position at our Redmond location.
- Candidates must be located in Redmond, WA or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Compensation:
- $36/hour.
