We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and their peers in school settings, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
  • Collaborate with educators and speech pathologists to ensure seamless communication.
  • Write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and work on IEP goals with data collection.
  • Provide support to guardians and assist preschool students.
  • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance interpreting skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in ASL or Education Interpreting.
  • Certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
  • Strong fluency in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
