The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the N.H. Nurse Practice Act, recognized nursing techniques, and both clinical and administrative policies.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assess patient conditions and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care before and after surgery. You will ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment, and keep the operating room sterilized.

You will pass medical instruments to surgeons during operations and review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after surgical procedures. Effective communication with patients, teammates, and physicians is essential to ensure continuity of care.

To be successful in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures, including da Vinci Robot (SI), orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery. You must also obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment start date, Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date, and PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of employment start date.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience. Situated in Portsmouth, NH, we are part of an organization that leverages our size to make a real impact in our industry.
