About the Role

Fraza and Vitan Equipment is a leading material handling business with a strong presence in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. We're seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing innovative equipment and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Drive to customer sites to perform routine maintenance, inspect brakes, and ensure all parts are in good working condition.
  • Identify and repair or replace faulty parts, components, or systems to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, time spent, and any safety inspections conducted.
  • Work closely with customers and operations teams to understand equipment needs and prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in forklift repair and maintenance or a similar field involving mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in forklifts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment, work in various positions, and operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions and updates to customers and management regarding equipment status and repairs.
