Northern California Business Development Director

AECOM seeks a dynamic leader to drive business growth in the Bay Area and Northern California transportation sector. This external facing role will represent the company in the marketplace, oversee business development, sales, and strategy for all sectors of transportation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a long-term vision for sustained growth of AECOM's transportation business in the Bay Area and Northern California;
- Lead recruitment and retention efforts to attract top talent to the region;
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic growth initiatives throughout the region;
- Work closely with the US West Transportation growth team to develop annual strategic plans and set targets and goals for the fiscal year;
- Influences and supports Regional Division and Growth Leads to achieve their sales and bookings performance targets;
- Oversee capture process for key pursuits to ensure best practices are being adhered to;
- Lead client account management program to ensure active management by Client Account Managers;
- Collaborate with local divisional leadership across all markets and organize civic engagement activities;
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business development and capture processes for professional services. They will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a proven track record of driving business growth.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in planning, engineering, or a related field;
- 10+ years of experience in business development and leadership roles;
- Experience working with transportation agencies and developing relationships within the transportation community;
- Strong understanding of project management principles and ability to balance multiple priorities;
The expected salary range is $181,851 - $336,424 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
