Position Overview:
The Instrumentation and Electrical Specialist is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of a range of moderately complex to complex instrumentation and electrical systems. This includes control systems, sensors, analyzers, electrical motors, pneumatic instrumentation, and programmable controllers, ensuring optimal performance of machinery and associated equipment. Compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve existing issues using various electrical testing devices to identify potential causes of problems.
- Dismantle electrical devices to access and replace defective components, followed by reassembly and performance testing.
- Repair or replace functional parts of control instruments and interpret technical instructions and diagrams to rectify issues.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and submit logs along with findings to the immediate supervisor.
- Assist in analyzing equipment failures.
- Set up and verify preventive maintenance equipment, including emergency generators and analyzers, to ensure safety protocols are upheld within the facility.
- Order necessary parts and machinery as needed, maintaining adequate inventories to support ongoing electrical and instrumentation maintenance programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
