Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at CGH Medical Center. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a specialty unit, working collaboratively with other healthcare disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with nursing practice act
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documents
  • Assess and plan patient/family education and discharge needs
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately
  • Accountable for problem-solving and delegating patient care team functions

Requirements

  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's in nursing preferred
  • Maintains certification according to requirements of specialty unit
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout employment at CGH
