About the Role:
This position is for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sanitation Manager within a dynamic Food Manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct all sanitation activities within the food production facility, guaranteeing that all areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition as per established protocols.
  • Formulate, execute, and uphold sanitation policies and programs, including Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs), to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Educate and oversee sanitation personnel, ensuring their proficiency in cleaning methods, chemical safety, and sanitation compliance.
  • Oversee the inventory and utilization of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that necessary resources are available for sanitation tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of sanitation practices and pinpoint areas needing enhancement.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to resolve sanitation issues, implement corrective measures, and mitigate contamination risks.
  • Design and deliver training initiatives to inform staff about sanitation standards and procedures, fostering a clean and safe workplace.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry developments, best practices, and regulatory updates related to sanitation in manufacturing.
  • Prepare and present regular updates on sanitation operations to upper management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Food Science.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sanitation management capacity within a food manufacturing context.
  • Expertise in Sanitation Standards Compliance, Cleaning Protocols, Chemical Safety, and SSOPs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal sanitation regulations and standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on training and supervising sanitation staff.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of identifying sanitation challenges and implementing effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to clearly convey sanitation standards and procedures to team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Certification as a Professional in Food Safety (CP-FS) or similar credential is advantageous.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
