Orthopedic Coder Position Summary

This role requires an experienced professional who can efficiently code for multiple Orthopedic Surgeons. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for growth within our organization. Our ideal candidate has experience working with medical terminologies and ICD-10/CPT coding systems. Additionally, they must be able to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.

Estimated Salary: $62,500 - $82,500 per year

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks:
  1. Accurately assign medical codes according to ICD-10 and CPT standards.
  2. Analyze patient data to ensure correct coding practices.
  3. Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of medical terminologies and coding regulations.
  4. Maintain high levels of productivity while ensuring quality results.
  5. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • AAPC-CPC coding certificate.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in medical billing and coding preferred.
  • Experience with orthopedic healthcare is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
