About the Role

The Central Orthopedic Group, LLP is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses.

Primary Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coding for multiple orthopedic surgeons with accuracy and efficiency
  • Analyzing patient records to determine correct codes for billing
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
  • Working independently and managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in medical billing and coding preferred
  • AAPC-CPC coding certificate
  • Thorough understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
