About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware team at Nuro. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of state-of-the-art AI hardware at the core of our self-driving stack.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Championing the specification, development, validation, and deployment of high-performance on-board computing, networking, and vehicle interface systems.
  • Collaborating with sensor and vehicle hardware teams to architect and design cutting-edge electrical systems.
  • Guiding our design and manufacturing partners to ensure high-quality and reliable products.
  • Driving technology evaluation and providing directional guidance on future development paths.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and interns to foster a culture of innovation and growth.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineer with at least 8 years of relevant experience. You should have a proven track record of designing and deploying high-performance electrical systems, as well as expertise in high-speed and high-complexity electrical engineering design.

Additionally, you should be proficient in popular EDA tools, lab equipment, and have a growth mindset to tackle novel challenges. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to guide a cross-functional team and drive projects forward.

What We Offer
