Electrical Engineer II Job Description

Microsoft Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join our HoloLens Electrical Engineering Team in Mountain View, CA.

We design and develop cutting-edge electrical systems for our products, from concept to manufacturing. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing form factor logic boards, form factor flexes, and development boards for current and future generation projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Own a subsystem as part of a larger product.
  • Design rigid and/or flexible printed circuit boards.
  • Write and execute board level test plans.
  • Support factory first article bring-up and engineering builds.
  • Interact with suppliers to facilitate design decisions, bug fixing, and failure analysis.
  • Effectively collaborate, build relationships, and influence team members to achieve business objectives.
  • Be comfortable working on a military product.
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience.
  • 1+ year experience owning schematics and layout for a PCB/RFPC.
  • 1+ year experience selecting and validating components for an analog/digital circuit.
