Peer Support Specialist at The Recovery Center of Kentucky

As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals as they navigate their recovery journey. Utilizing your own experiences, you will serve as a mentor and a source of inspiration for clients striving to overcome addiction and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate client arrivals, departures, and transportation needs
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive client care
  • Link clients to community resources that foster growth and recovery
  • Provide ongoing education and mentorship throughout the recovery process
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local organizations
Qualifications:
  • Certification in Peer Support
  • Current Adult CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Knowledge of addiction principles and available community resources
  • Excellent interpersonal and engagement abilities
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity
