Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team at ManTech International Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, developing system requirements specifications, and ensuring the technical integrity of our work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with industry standards.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies to ensure effective system design.
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations to ensure minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
  • Develop technical documentation to ensure clear communication of system requirements and design.
  • Develop system architecture and system design documentation to ensure comprehensive understanding of system functionality.
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interact with government agencies regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making.
Requirements
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of experience in the legal or technical aspects of Intelligence Community Privacy Compliance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intelligence Community compliance experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with defined system architecture.
  • Contribute to development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Assist with development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based on evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations.
  • Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components.
  • Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions.
  • Define methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which systems, subsystems, and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan.
  • Develop system design solution that satisfies system requirements and fulfills functional analysis.
  • Review and provide input to program and contract work breakdown structure (WBS), work packages, and integrated master plan (IMP).
  • Participate in system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Participate in interface definition, design, and changes to configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout life cycle.
  • Derive from system requirements an understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness.
  • Derive lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements that describe in detail the functions that a system component must fulfill, and ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable.
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Ability for clear communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
