Position Overview

The primary role of the Logistics Associate involves managing the receipt and processing of incoming goods, preparing shipments for delivery, and conducting inventory and quality assurance tasks.

This individual is responsible for maintaining a tidy and organized warehouse environment, adhering to established facility protocols and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and evaluate products, ensuring accurate labeling and reporting any inconsistencies in the reconciliation of shipments and invoices.
  • Organize and store all incoming merchandise in designated areas, implementing FIFO (first in, first out) inventory management for perishable items.
  • May require training and operation of manual and electric pallet jacks, as well as forklifts.
  • Pick inventory to fulfill orders for products, supplies, and equipment based on requisitions or established inventory levels.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures to achieve accuracy and productivity benchmarks.
  • Load, unload, and transport products and materials to various sections of the warehouse and/or other client sites, potentially utilizing carts, powered industrial vehicles (PIV), or motor vehicles.
  • Conduct routine physical inventory counts according to established schedules.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately, including maintaining records such as inventory count documents, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, and other relevant business documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned work areas, including restrooms, break rooms, loading docks, and delivery platforms as necessary.
  • Implement all safety policies, OSHA regulations, SDS standards, and emergency protocols. Utilize all required safety equipment and personal protective gear.
  • Take necessary precautions to safeguard client and company assets.
  • Engage with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests regarding business-related matters and attend meetings as required.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of prior warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
  • Fundamental computer skills.
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Some client locations may require a valid driver's license; an MVR will be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening process.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Additionally, uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
