Arconic is actively seeking an Automated Inspections Engineer to enhance their Aerospace and Automotive Products Business Unit.

With a rich history in manufacturing, Arconic's facility has been a leader in the aluminum industry.


Located strategically, the plant is a significant contributor to the global aluminum market, with a notable portion of its revenue derived from international exports.


To maintain its status as a premier aerospace supplier, the facility has undergone substantial modernization efforts, including significant investments to boost production capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:


The Automated Inspections Engineer will:

  • Provide technical support for Surface Quality Monitoring (SQM) Systems, Marker systems, and other essential automated inspection technologies.
  • Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of SQM systems and related measuring devices.
  • Identify and explore new opportunities for automated inspection systems that can enhance business value.
  • Ensure optimal performance of installed automation inspection systems to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Integrate SMART Manufacturing principles into automated inspection systems to enhance processes and improve data collection and analysis.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining electromechanical or inspection systems.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required, with verification needed at the time of hire.
  • This position is subject to regulations that require U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with optical scanning or vision systems.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Smart Manufacturing.
  • Proven track record as a project implementation manager, including experience with budget and schedule management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in diverse settings.
  • Adept at navigating the complexities of a matrix organization.
