Responsibilities

The Transition RN Fellowship at Northridge Hospital Medical Center prepares and supports experienced nurses as they enter into a specialty unit. This program is designed for registered nurses with at least one year of experience who are looking to transition into an orthopedic specialty.

Candidates must have a current California License and be a graduate of an accredited RN school of Nursing. Additionally, they must have current AHA ACLS and AHA BLS cards, as well as completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course prior to hire.

The program includes a comprehensive orientation, hands-on training, and ongoing support to ensure a successful transition into the orthopedic specialty.

Qualifications
  • Minimum one (1) year registered nursing experience required
  • Registered Nurse with current California License required.
  • Graduate of Accredited RN school of Nursing.
  • Current AHA ACLS, AHA BLS card required.
  • Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Course prior to hire.
  • EKG competency
  • Femoral Sheath Competency preferred at time of hire required within 90 days of hire.
  • LA City Fire Care required within 90 days of hire.
