Our Controllership team provides business advisory services and insights to support the evolving needs of our customers and policyholders.

**Responsibilities:**

* Assist on projects and with accounting close.
* Participate in the analysis and completion of various processes.
* Review existing standard operating procedures and update where gaps exist.
* Assist with annual compliance and regulatory work, including preparing state filings.
* Assist with the preparation and filing of state and local tax returns for a multi-tiered organization, including property and casualty insurance and banking related companies.
* Engage in self-led continuous improvement project, empowering interns to drive innovation.

**Qualifications:**

* Actively pursuing or within 1 year of receiving a secondary education degree with a related field of study, i.e., Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
* Previous work experience, or internship experience.
* Proven ability to collaborate and work with a team.
* Demonstrated solid oral, written and interpersonal skills resulting in the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
* Demonstrated organization skills.
* Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
* Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
