Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Instrumentation and Controls Manager in our Wastewater Enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation of Instrumentation and Controls objectives, supervising a team of Electronic Maintenance Technician Assistant Supervisors and Electronic Instrumentation Technicians, and ensuring the efficient operation of our wastewater treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train a team of Electronic Maintenance Technician Assistant Supervisors and Electronic Instrumentation Technicians
  • Develop and implement standard operations procedures for all instrumentation and control functions
  • Manage the allocation of resources within the Instrumentation and Controls unit
  • Approve work orders and budgeted materials and supplies expenses
  • Ensure compliance with all City, SFPUC, and WWE policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of professional operations, maintenance, and/or regulatory reporting of wastewater assets
  • Valid California Class C driver's license

Selection Process:

Candidates deemed qualified will be invited to participate in a Supervisory Test Battery Exam, which will assess their competencies in job-related areas such as problem-solving, leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
