Production Manager

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety within our plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Oversight: Monitor production processes to ensure they are running smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards and production schedules.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity. Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to develop and implement process enhancements.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a keen eye for quality control, ensuring that products meet or exceed quality standards at all stages of production. Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols to minimize defects and deviations.
- Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to achieve production targets. Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of necessary inputs.
- Safety Compliance: Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety. Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a safety-conscious culture among the production team.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including production output, downtime, maintenance logs, and any incidents. Generate relevant reports for management review.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs within the production team and facilitate training programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Mentor and develop team members to promote career growth.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Contribute ideas and lead implementation efforts to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
