Health Information Management Specialist

Garnet Health is seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Specialist to join our team at Garnet Health Medical Center-Catskill. As a HIM Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile receipt of medical records, prepare, scan, and index charts
- Review records for completeness and adequacy to ensure compliance with hospital, medical staff, and accrediting agency policies and standards
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent required; courses in medical terminology preferred
- One year of experience in a HIM department preferred; good organizational skills and knowledge of regulating agencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- A competitive hourly rate of $16.99 - $17.50
