Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and reviewing systems engineering design artifacts for defense aviation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts
  • Architect solutions from user requirements and use cases to be applied across the systems engineering life cycle
  • Use requirements management tools, such as IBM DOORS NG or Jama Connect, and systems modeling tools, such as MagicDraw/Cameo, IBM Rhapsody, or Sparx EA
  • Develop systems in a modeling environment and apply Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement recommended solutions and manage technical risks
  • Develop technical reports and participate in product design development and reviews
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with supporting the design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts
  • 3+ years of experience with systems engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with architecting solutions from user requirements and use cases to be applied across the systems engineering life cycle
  • 2+ years of experience with using requirements management tools and systems modeling tools
  • 1+ years of experience with developing systems in a modeling environment
  • Experience with the practical application of UML or SysML
  • Knowledge of core systems and digital engineering concepts
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, dynamic team environment
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with conceptualizing military problems and developing detailed designs in a systems model
  • Experience with developing safety critical applications based on standards
  • Experience with supporting engineering tools, including PLM/PDM, digital engineering, modeling and simulation, and CAD
  • Experience with defining a digital engineering ecosystem
  • Experience with using modeling frameworks, such as DoDAF or UAF
  • Experience in working with analytical tools, including MATLAB, STK, or ModelCenter
  • Knowledge of modular open systems approach (MOSA) design principles and technologies
  • Knowledge of linking analytical and engineering tools in a digital thread
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP

Salary at Booz Allen Hamilton is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD.
