Job Summary

As a key member of our team at Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research, we are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing nutritional care plans, providing professional guidance to staff, and participating in nutrition conferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessment of nutritional needs and correlate with care plans of other health care team members.
• Communicate nutritional care plans through written record systems and provide instruction regarding specialized and/or restricted diets.
• Counsel individuals and families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selection, and develop and implement multi-disciplinary discharge care plans.
• Develop and implement new and/or improved methods and procedures to ensure adherence to current standards of nutritional care.
• Participate in health care team rounds and provide professional guidance and assistance to non-professional staff.
• Develop and implement nutritional educational programs and participate in nutrition conferences.
• Conduct independent special projects as assigned and consult with the Director of Food Service on menu planning and special diets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food, Nutrition, or Dietetics, required.
• Registered Dietitian, required.
• Active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, preferred.
• Excellent ability to prioritize, deliver top-notch customer service, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
